Last Wednesday, news broke that over 800,000 SonicWall firewalls may be vulnerable to attack. This security flaw affects multiple versions of the SonicWall software (SonicOS). And, when this vulnerability is exploited, it allows unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on the affected devices.
Corporate Technologies is Ahead of the Curve
Luckily for our customers, Corporate Technologies consistently stays on top of updates and patches. For instance, back in April we completed a major software update to all of our SonicWall users. This was far before the vulnerability was even discovered. Because we were on top of it and took care of it ahead of time, none of our customers have to worry about being affected by this.
An Important Question
Does your MSP take care of your patches and updates? Did they take care of this vulnerability ahead of time? If you answered no to either of these questions, you may want to consider switching your MSP. The only way you can fix vulnerabilities is by ensuring you or your MSP is downloading the latest patches and updates for all of your networking equipment.Â
